VOLUME I "CAVITY-FORMING OSTEOLYSIS OF JAWBONE"
- german -
DR. DR. (PHD-UCN) JOHANN LECHNER

Systematic-holistic effects of the aseptic osteonecroses "jaw osteitis" and "NICO" in the jaw – Table of Contents

In the author's practice, astounding improvements in rheumatiform and neuralgiform complaints, as well as other systemic diseases, are observed once painless and radiologically normal edentulous areas of the jaw (NICO) are cleaned. Structurally, these are characterised by fatty-degenerative osteonecrosis of the spongiosa. In order to clarify systemic relationships, osteolytic and fatty-degenerative spongiosa portions were removed from jaw areas in a total of 17 test subjects and analysed for 27 immune messenger substances using bead-based multiplex technology. All 17 NICO samples consistently showed the highest levels of RANTES/CCL5. The scientific literature on the causes and metastatic tendency of breast cancer assigns a key role to RANTES as a signal generator.

Oral and Systemic Manifestations of Maxillo-Mandibular Osteoimmunology - Table of Contents

With this book, the three authors embark on a new field in medicine and dentistry: Interdisciplinary Maxillo-Mandibular Osteo-Immunology. They present these in a case-related and casuistic manner and discuss the clinical images associated with fatty degenerative osteolysis of the jawbone (FDOJ). Following Volume, I, entitled "Cavity-Forming Osteolysis of the Jawbone" published in 2011, further scientific data on FDOJ is now available. Prof. Bouquot has made his extensive histological images on FDOJ / "NICO" available. In addition, 2,000 individual FDOJ histology’s were analysed and evaluated.
